In 2009, Greta Matassa was voted "Northwest Vocalist of the Year" by Earshot Jazz. This marks the sixth time she has received this award in 15 years. Greta Matassa is one of the most talented singers working in jazz today.
Greta's latest cd "I Wanna be Loved" Resonance Records remained on the national jazz charts for radio airplay for 3 months.
This new release features arrangements by Tamir Hendelman.She is surrounded by a host of top LA musicians and string orchestrations.

Greta has been a mainstay on Seattle's Jazz stages for many years and with her recent tours of Russia, Singapore and Hawaii and Japan, Greta's sound is now reaching new audiences. Greta has released seven CD's on the respected jazz label Origin Records and a DVD live concert with Mimi Fox.
